Lake Hefner is at northwest of Oklahoma City. There is a 10-mile jogging trail around the lake.
Need to go jogging there sometime. See if I still have the stamina.

First guy that I made friends with: Dean Baxtor. He is a warm hearted guy but curses some time. He showed me how to select pool sticks, how to chalk the sticks, and how to make a perfect English (side-spin) on the pool table. He helps me to get in the company.
First girl: Mallory Moore, a 20-year old intern at her Junior year college. She’s the only hot American girl that I’ve ever seen who likes math! She doesn’t mind doing double and triple integration and stuff. She told me a dog year is 7 human years.
World Cup is life

Every four years! Yes, when I remember 02 Korea-Japan World Cup, the 98 France Word Cup, and the 94 America World Cup, or even the 90 Italy World Cup (not much for that though), I remember what I was doing at every game time, the time, place, and people that I watched the game with
02 World Cup, I was busy back and forth Qinhuangdao & Beijing, for a project in Qinhuangdao Port. China vs Costa Rica, we were at the seaport hotel with PM and friends; China vs Brazil, another hotel in Qinhuangdao; and I can’t believe I missed the 3rd game against Turkey because of work! The final Brazil vs. Germany was in a rented apartment, with beer and BBQ (shao1 kao3)
98 World Cup, I was at College in the summer time for the first round games, and then home for the rest. It was deep in mind that when I had to stay up until 4:00, share a TV with 30+ others to watch England vs. Argentina! But they did bring up an incredible game!! The Owen goal was wonderfully shinny. And at that same time Jordan was playing his final series against Jazz in NBA! As both fan of World Cup and NBA, I had to pull myself up from bed 8:00 in the morning with less than 4 hours sleep quite a few times
94 World Cup, senior high. Started to buy football magazines at that time. Baggio, Romario, Hagi, and Matthaus were the big guys then, and Maradona was not old yet. Nobody paid any attention to the 17-year-old Ronaldo coz he did not even play 1 minute, except my friend Bing. Bing said Ronaldo’s gonna be somebody. Yes, Ronaldo became somebody, but 12 years later his days are over.
Grow up with world cup! Get old with world cup!

As scheduled, I met Daliu and a bunch of other guys and girls from Ericsson Guangzhou and Ericsson Dallas. First time to see World cup since it started! Italy played like shit and Brazil was alright. Daliu is going to Austin for at least a month today.
Plano was a nice town to stay. It’s delicately built and shaped. A number of top 500 firms are located there so you have the chance to see mansions and palaces.
Got a trapping call from Windy at Saturday afternoon trying to lure me with a $1000 lottery. 🙂 I never won a bar of soap in any lottery so it ain’t work 😀

Arrived in OKC

Arrived in OKC today. Met a nice Chinese guy here, who was helping me to get a place to live the whole afternoon. It’s easy to find an apt, but I don’t wanna make a rush decision, coz I wanna have a roomate and it all depends on if he/she will like it. The shortest lease is 9 months or even a year for most of places, so cautions must be taken.
The H-1B cap was used up on May 26th, which means that I did not catch the deadline. Here are some ways to handle this:
1. Trying to get the degree before August to catch the 20K Master+ cap. This is hard, coz the boss is tough on the freaking thesis, and then the 20K number may be used up before Aug.
2. Do not finish school, work until the OPT expires (May 07 2007), then register a class and do CPT. If this works, I cannot do the graduation, coz graduation means out of school and out of F1 status and no CPT allowed.
3. See if Singpore and Chile will not finish their numbers and the rest number will be released at the beginning of October.
Anyway, this year is a hard year. But I’ll pass it~~~
